Geography
Geography is a living, breathing subject, constantly adapting itself to change. It is dynamic and relevant. For me geography is a great adventure with a purpose.

Intent
At Loudwater School our intent in teaching Geography is to enable our children to have a depth of knowledge and understanding of the world around us and to have the ability to be able to communicate this in a variety of ways. We aim to inspire in our children a sense of awe and wonder about our world with our curriculum that has many links with other subjects and takes us beyond the confines of the classroom.
Our teaching equips pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with an understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes. As pupils progress, their growing knowledge about the world helps them to deepen their understanding of the interaction between physical and human processes. We also focus on the formation and use of landscapes and environments.
