Ofsted Report
Please find below the report from our recent Ofsted inspection. We are delighted that they have identified that all aspects of our school are good.
There are many positive comments particularly in the way that they have identified the strengths of the pupils’ personal development, behaviour and attitudes. They have recognised the priority we give to the teaching of reading and the support provided to those who need support to make progress, in all areas of the curriculum.
However, I feel that the report does not provide enough detail to recognise our many other strengths. The first of these is the strength and commitment of the staff team. Everyone has worked extremely hard focusing on the development points from the previous Ofsted.
Whilst the report states that staff have high expectations of pupils in Key Stage 2, we feel that this does not adequately recognise the very good teaching and learning which starts as soon as the children enter school allowing other staff to have these high expectations and for the children to meet them.
Going forward we know that there are areas where we can make our provision even better and welcome the input from the inspectors regarding these.
