About Us

values and what makes us the school we are.

A Message From our Headteacher

As Headteacher, one of the things I am most proud of about our school is that we know our children. We know their personalities, their strengths, their interests and the things they sometimes find difficult. We celebrate what makes each child different, and we want every child who comes through our doors to feel that they belong.

Situated on the outskirts of High Wycombe, Loudwater has some fantastic facilities for our children to enjoy. Our heated open-air swimming pool, outdoor classroom, fields and wooded areas all give children opportunities to learn and experience things beyond the classroom. But while these are important parts of school life, it is the people who really make Loudwater special.

The relationships between children, staff and families are at the heart of our school. Over time, these relationships create a strong sense of community, where people look out for each other and children feel safe, happy and confident to be themselves.

We are lucky to have a supportive governing body and a fantastic parent community through FOLS. The time, energy and commitment they give to our school make a real difference to what we can offer our children.

Of course, learning is at the centre of what we do. We want our children to become successful readers, confident mathematicians, curious scientists and creative thinkers. We have high expectations and want every child to achieve their best.

But school should be about more than academic results. It is also where children develop friendships, confidence and a sense of who they are.

Above all, we want our children to live by our six values:

Pride. Empathy. Honesty. Individuality. Respect. Responsibility.

These values are part of everyday life at Loudwater. They shape how we learn, how we treat each other and the kind of people we want our children to become.

Welcome to our school. Welcome to our community. Welcome to Loudwater.

Our Values and Ethos

At Loudwater Combined School, we want every child to feel happy, safe, valued and excited about learning. We are proud of our school community and believe that strong relationships, high expectations and a sense of belonging help children to thrive.

Situated on the outskirts of High Wycombe, our school offers pupils a range of opportunities to learn, explore and develop their interests. Our facilities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, outdoor classroom, playing fields and spaces that support learning beyond the classroom.

Our six school values underpin everything we do. They help us develop positive relationships, celebrate individuality and create an environment where everyone is treated with kindness and respect.
